Our first experience with Home Options and Rocky Lane was in 2002 when we contracted him to remove our wood decking and replace with a composite decking material. We were completely satisfied with that experience. Since then we have used Home Options over a dozen times on different projects, from minor repair to major re-construction.
Customer service and quality workmanship are the two primary reasons we continue to use Home Options for our home improvement needs.After our initial consultations we receive detailed quotes/invoices of what was to be done and materials to be used, along with the total project cost. Project costs and timing were always on target and not revised unless agreed to by both parities in writing.

We were very pleased with the work that Home Options (HO) did to finish the pub bar in our recreation room. HO helped us develop our basic idea into the final design but even then they were flexible enough to make design changes as the project went along. HO also worked well together with another contractor that installed the rock wall.
The project was completed on time and on budget.

We purchased our new lake home in 2009 knowing we would be remodeling the entire inside of the home prior to our move from Ohio in the fall of 2011. After personally interviewing 7 remodeling contractors, including some Tellico Village home builders, I chose Home Options owned by Rocky Lane as my contractor. Choosing the right contractor was critical because the remodeling would start prior to our move, so much of the major work would be completed prior and I had never contracted for a project this large, especially living so far away. I chose Rocky because of his extensive remodeling experience, ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing, his commitment to quality, his follow through and follow up, and his reputation in the village. Rocky quickly met all of my expectations in all regards, continued to do so during the entire project, and in fact to this day as Home Options continues doing smaller projects for us on a frequent basis.
Our project was one of the largest jobs Home Options had tackled at the time. They gutted the entire house including almost all of the existing fixtures, moved walls, demolished and re-installed ceilings, built two new bedrooms, a bathroom, and billiard room, a deck, kitchen, two wet bars and remodeled the family room and living room. Home Options removed windows and replaced them with sliding doors across the majority of the back of the house which required significant structural design and engineering work. They installed new wiring and plumbing, dozens of light fixtures, bathroom toilets, sinks, plumbing and electrical fixtures, carpet, floor tile, etc. They installed French doors opening to our deck in our master bedroom.
It was an exhaustive project that took about 6 months to complete, and went, literally, with out a 'hitch' meaning, given all the issues we could have had with anther contractor, there were virtually no issues with Home Options. They always show up exactly on time, communicate clearly during the day, are respectful of our private space when working inside the house, and thoroughly clean up at the end of the work day. Rocky has done an excellent job hiring and training his staff that are required to meet his high standards.
During the remodel project, there were many times Rocky would call or e-mail me about a situation they found that was unexpected. Rocky always presented these issues in a thoughtful way with pros and cons to different solutions. At no time did I every feel like he was trying to increase the work load or his bill and in many cases I learned he just handled situations he found on the spot. There were times I would give direction as to what I wanted and Rocky, in a professional manner, did not hesitate to point out the pros and cons of my ideas so that the best decision was made vs. just doing what I told him. Home Option's focus is always on completing the work properly and they never cut corners. I have personally witnessed Rocky requiring one of his staff to redo aspects of a job because it did not meet his standards.
Moving from Ohio after 22 years in the same house to TN while transferring management of our company to other people was challenging enough, to say the least. Remodeling of a home several states away could have added a whole new level of stress, especially hearing the stories of disasters with other local contractors. I am proud to say the remodel project ended up being the least amount of stress compared with everything else we were managing at the time. Home Options exceeded our expectations!

We chose Home Options for our two remodel jobs (enlarge and reconfigure lower level walkout in 2010 and remove old flooring and install great room engineered wood flooring in 2013), based on the recommendation of several friends.
